Many of us are still stuffed from the sunny weekend that was the 26th Annual Bowen’s Wharf Seafood Festival. Thank you to our sponsors, vendors, staff, City of Newport and attendees! The next amazing food event is on: November 4-13 make plans to dine out at Diego’s, The Wharf Pub, Fluke or 22Bowen’s during Newport Restaurant Week. Three-course, prix fixe lunches ($16) and dinners ($35) are infused with local flavors. The menus tell the stories their chefs have designed to tell.
With gorgeous sunsets, colorful leaves and textured cobblestones underfoot you’ll want to leave time for me andering through our shops. We’ve spotted striking fall fashions for men (think golf, nights on the town, family gatherings, workplace essentials) at Michael Hayes, the Sail Loft and The Narragansett.
For those of you who are enthusiastic and early-bird holiday shoppers, grab November by the collar and avoid December crowds. Pick a morning or an afternoon, meet a friend, park on-site and stroll among the local shop-owners. They’ll be thrilled to share with you their curated finds and help you on your way toward blissful holidays. Whether you’re hosting Thanksgiving or visiting others then Primavera, Isherwood & Co, Kristen Coates, Soap & Water stock what every host and hostess will want for stylish entertaining.
For your fun calendar: November 26th: Illuminated Boat Parade & Bowen’s Wharf Block Party. This unique Newport event kicks off Holidays by the Sea, Shop Saturdays and The Holiday Stroll with live Caribbean-style Christmas vibe and sip & shops throughout the wharf. December 3rd: 46th Annual Bowen’s Wharf Christmas Tree Lighting.
We can’t wait for you to join us at the anchor of the Newport waterfront. n
