Bowen’s Wharf Launches New Website

We are so excited to share with you our new website! Not only does it include a ton of new features, but it’s responsive as well so you’re able to access all of the content from your Tablet and Smartphone.

We’ve had so many requests for the history of Bowen’s Wharf! We dug up some vintage photos and decided to add that to our new website as well. Did you know that Bowen’s Wharf was once known as Stevens’ Wharf? It was named after Robert Stevens Ship Ch andlery. The Robert Stevens mansion was at the corner of Bowen’s Wharf and Thames Street, and was a unique double house design. Discover more history on Bowen’s Wharf.

Through Sightsailing of Newport, we’ve also added a dock webcam on our homepage. From sunrise to sunset, you can view the bustling docks on Bowen’s Wharf.

The other new feature we are raving about is our updated directory. It features all of the tenants on Bowen’s Wharf, including their business description and a map as to where they are located. Looking for a delicious dinner? Head over to our Restaurants & Eateries page. Seeking the perfect gift? Click through our Shopping section.  Do you want to take home a unique piece of art? Our Galleries feature original paintings and eclectic collections, exempt from state sales tax. And, of course, our Welcome Center is the place to purchase souvenirs and tickets for harbor tours and other Newport excursions.

Together with 6 Square Design & Communications, we hope that you find our new website to be intuitive and easy-to-navigate. Don’t forget to follow us through our social media outlets and tag us as well! Sign up for our e-newsletter (through our homepage) to stay up-to-date on Bowen’s Wharf happenings and we’ll look forward to seeing you and your photos!
