Anne Hall has always been fascinated with old prints and maps. After 30 years of traveling throughout America and Europe, she has curated an in-depth collection of natural history prints from the 1580s to 1920s. Along the way, she called on galleries, designers, and sold at over 1500 antiques shows & flower shows. After a long search for the perfect showroom, Anne is thrilled to bring her Antique Prints Gallery to Bowen’s Wharf.

The Antique Prints Gallery is located upstairs at the Anchor of Newport. The stairway is right of the Scrimshaw Shop and left of Anchor Toffee. ***Open whenever our Open Flag is out. Sea Bags are born as sails and transformed into nautically inspired totes and accessories. H andmade by Maine artisans on the working waterfront in Portl and, Maine, all of our bags carry character marks from their previous life on the water, making each one unique. From day one, we’ve committed ourselves to utilizing only American made materials. We use one of the last remaining thread manufacturers in the U.S. and one of a few rope manufacturers in New England.

In the store, you get the experience of being in a sail loft. Found maritime objects like buoys, lobster traps,  and sail hardware are easy to spot, and our customers are often surprised to learn that everything is available for sale. You can work with a member of the Sea Bags Crew to customize your very own Sea Bag, either building on one of our original designs, or creating something from your vision. Also available are a variety of nautically-inspired accessories and home decor that all share the important distinction of being made by New Engl and companies that uphold the same values as Sea Bags.
