Christmas at Bowen’s Wharf
As the temperature drops, the holiday magic ramps up with new and returning winter happenings to help you enjoy Christmas in Newport! Gilded age glamour at the Mansions meets Colonial Christmas charm on the coast, proving once again that our popular summer destination is equally special in the winter.
This holiday season we’re featuring our community up close. Introducing Faces of the Wharf short video series where we open the door to our business owners, so you get to know them a little better so be sure to stop by and say hello in person.
Bowen’s Block Party & Newport Illuminated Boat Parade Nov 29
Sail into the most wonderful time of the year at the 22nd annual Illuminated Boat Parade Friday, November 29, a favorite holiday event among locals and visitors alike. We recommend heading over to the North Pole (Malee’s in summer) to enjoy Caribbean Christmas and Holiday tunes on the steel drum by Panoramic View.
Viewing of the parade is free of charge, making this a great family event to embrace the spirit of the holiday season. Parade boats will rendezvous just south of the Goat Island Causeway then proceed east for the official start at Newport Yacht Club. Boats will proceed south along the downtown waterfront and then turn around to return to the Goat Island Causeway area.

Christmas in Newport
As featured in Yankee Magazine, Newport boasts a variety of magnetic activities during the entire holiday season. Our former tenant & resident artist (and current friend), Kristen Coates, just blogged about how she navigates the Newport Holiday Stroll and the holiday season here in the City by the Sea. In her former space here on America’s Cup Ave we have had the pleasure of welcoming Jason Charbonneau, meet him here in our Merchant Spotlight: Faces of the Wharf and if it’s artwork for your home or yacht that’s on Santa’s list then the team at Sheldon Fine Art is at the ready to help.
