Bowen’s Wharf Open House

We were happy to host a Bowen’s Wharf open house this past Wednesday evening to introduce the local tour guides, concierges, etc with all we have to offer their guests here at the Anchor of Newport. Almost a dozen people gathered to get the inside scoop on many things, such as did you know 12 Meter Charters has added a third boat to the fleet (motor yacht)? Andnthey offer combo packages with Rough Point Mansion, and Bird’s EyenHelicopters. Here’s a brief wrap up of everything else you may have missed!

Remember that Fluke Wine, Bar & Restaurant is now serving lunch on weekends. The Duck Empanadas and cocktails were so delicious; and good to know about the great gluten-free options.nWharf Pub Sangria de los Dioses is high in antioxidants, so drinking is good for you! Who knew? n

Willie St. James paintings at Egg&Dart make investing in contemporary art an affordable and thrilling option, along with fresh floral bouquets.nGansett Cruises is dog and kid-friendly! Schooner Aquidneck & Sightsailing make for fun couple outings and bridal charters too.nAfterwards grab dinner at 22Bowen’s newly exp anded deck and ground level h andicap accessible terrace. Then you can stop by Destination Chocolate for dairy-free, gluten-free and kosher options.

Newport Scrimsh anders and Soap&Water are truly one-of-a-kind and are located in two of the original wharf buildings, so architecture buffs can enjoy stepping back into the 18th and 19th centuries when escaping to the waterfront.nAll water tours and many cultural attraction tickets can be purchased at our newly renovated Pilot House (401-849-3478), as well as through the businesses directly, all listed on our website.n

Thanks you again those who joined us, and we look forward to crossing paths again soon!nAnd a huge thanks to Trixie, Mimi and all the staff and businesses of Bowen’s Wharf, the Anchor of the Newport waterfront!
