Summer Kickoff at Bowen’s Wharf

It’s June, so with confidence we are happy to say that summer has arrived here at historic Bowen’s Wharf! There’s so much going on in Newport and we can’t wait to celebrate all summer long, starting with Father’s Day.

Father’s Day Finds

Shopping

Surprise your dad this Father’s Day with a day together on Bowen’s Wharf! Head over to his favorite shops like the Narragansett and Sail Loft for awesome finds, from new polos for a day on the greens to charming accessories or a night out.

Lunch/Dinner

Grab lunch and enjoy a cocktail or two over some fresh guacamole and tacos at Diego’s! With their extensive list of craft cocktails, we guarantee there’s something for both his taste and yours! Stroll around and be sure to enjoy the abundance of fresh flowers just planted by Brigid Finn Fine Gardening, especially around the outdoor patios at Diego’s and 22 Bowen’s/Portside.

Dessert

If you’re visiting Bowen’s Wharf later in the day, we recommend stopping by Sprinkle’s to spoil your dad with his favorite treat — whether it’s soft serve, milkshakes, sundaes, or the classic scoop of hard ice cream, you can’t go wrong while enjoying it together as the sun sets on the Newport waterfront. Sprinkles offers an outdoor seating area, coffee & espresso bar as well as hot dogs. We like to grab a snack and treat here before heading out on a water tour or over to Cardines Field to catch a Newport Gulls game.

4th of July Fun

This year’s 4th of July fireworks show will be Tuesday, July 2 starting at dark, around 9:15pm. Visit your favorite restaurant at Bowen’s Wharf to view the show over dinner! Check out 22 PortsideFlukeDiego’s, or Wharf Pub Newport to reserve a table during the display!

Speaking of Wharf Pub Newport, we have some exciting news! Keep an eye out for their new look and menu as they transition from Wharf Pub to Wharf Southern Kitchen
