Fresh and Local Cuisine with Restaurant Week

Bowen’s Wharf and Newport waterfront restaurants are known for their fresh and local flavor. Wonder where the fresh, local seafood comes from? The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management’s Division of Agriculture manages the Rhode Island Seafood website, and besides being a presence at our Seafood Festival they also work closely with many local restaurants, such as our own Fluke Wine, Bar, & Kitchen. But don’t forget there’s so much more in season than just fresh fish! Veggies such as pumpkin seeds, red & golden Beets, potatoes and other autumn vegetables will be offered as sides or soups for restaurant week specials at Fluke and 22Bowen’s.nIf you’re in the mood for something slightly more eclectic don’t forget The Wharf Pub and Diego’s will be open for lunch and dinner daily, with brunch on Sundays. Restaurant week runs November 6-15 so keep your eyes peeled for more updates or simply just come down and join us for fresh, local, and fantastic cuisine!
